Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They help sites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is used. AdsSarthi also uses related technologies like localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags, all of which are covered by this policy.
2. How We Use Cookies
We group cookies into four categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for sign-in, session security, and CSRF protection. Cannot be disabled.
- Preference: remember your language (English / Hindi), dark/light mode, selected client, and dashboard layout.
- Analytics: measure feature usage and error rates so we can improve the product. Opt-in only.
- Marketing: we do not run third-party advertising cookies on AdsSarthi itself. The Meta Pixel on our public landing page runs only after cookie consent.
3. Cookies We Set
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token | Keeps you signed in | 30 days | Necessary |
| next-auth.csrf-token | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Session | Necessary |
| __Host-next-auth.callback-url | Returns you to the right page after sign-in | Session | Necessary |
| adssarthi_locale | Language preference (en / hi) | 1 year | Preference |
| adssarthi_active_client | Remembers the last-selected client in the dashboard | 90 days | Preference |
| adssarthi_theme | Dark / light mode preference | 1 year | Preference |
| adssarthi_consent | Stores your cookie consent choices | 6 months | Necessary |
4. Third-Party Cookies & Technologies
When you opt-in to analytics or use certain features, these third-party services may set cookies or collect usage data:
| Provider | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog (EU region) | Product analytics — feature usage, funnels | posthog.com/privacy |
| Sentry | Error tracking & performance monitoring | sentry.io/privacy |
| Google Fonts | Serves the Inter font family | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Meta Pixel (landing page only) | Measures conversions from our Meta ads — runs after consent only | facebook.com/privacy/policy |
We do not run Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or any marketing tracker inside the authenticated dashboard. Your campaign data is never mixed with our analytics.
5. Your Choices
- In-app toggle: go to /dashboard/settings/cookies to change analytics and preference consent.
- Banner on first visit: the most privacy-preserving option (only strictly necessary cookies) is offered as a one-click default.
- Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies from the Privacy / Site Data settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in from working.
- Do Not Track: we honour the
DNT: 1header by disabling analytics automatically.
6. Cookies and the DPDP Act
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, cookies that collect personal data require your free, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent. We obtain this consent through an opt-in banner — inaction or continued browsing is not treated as consent. You can withdraw consent at any time from the in-app settings page, and we will stop placing non-essential cookies immediately on your device.
7. Children
AdsSarthi is a B2B service. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18 and do not set analytics or marketing cookies for suspected minors. See our DPDP statement for details.
8. Updates
We will update this policy if we add or remove cookies, or change how we use them. Material changes are announced by email and in-app notification at least 15 days in advance, and we will re-prompt for consent where required.
